Me Marianne Dessureault

Member of the Quebec Bar since 2015, Me Dessureault obtained a bachelor’s degree in 2012 in international studies with a concentration in international law (B.A.) as well as a law degree in 2014 (L.L.B.), both from the University of Montreal. In addition, she completed a graduate program in labour law in 2018 with honors.

In 2013, Me Dessureault had the opportunity to complete an internship in labour law within a union. She then accepted an articling position at the Legal Community Center Laurentides-Lanaudière in 2015. Exposed to cases relating to forensic psychiatry, residential law and administrative law, Me Dessureault has acquired a solid experience in representation before administrative and common law courts.

Me Dessureault was awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for her social involvement in 2007 due to her contribution to the development of her community. Since 2009, she has been a member of several boards of directors of many institutions and non-profit organizations. In 2015, she created the YOBO Facebook page in order to guide, inform and help law students at l’École du Barreau. Today, with more than 800 members, she built a wide network within the legal community and developed a bond of trust among the group.

Her passion and interest in social law cases led her to join Desroches Mongeon Attorneys-at-law in January 2016, where she currently defends and promotes the rights of injured workers, road accident victims and individuals claiming disability pensions from Retraite Québec.
