The Act respecting Labour Standards exists to protect employees by imposing minimum working conditions. An employer can go beyond the standards set out in the law and offer more favourable working conditions to its employees, but it can never impose working conditions that are less favourable. Employers are required to respect these standards. Failure to do so, will make them liable to fines or legal action. Our team can advise you and represent you.
