The Régime de rentes du Québec (Quebec pension plan) was created to provide basic financial protection to workers and their families in the event of retirement, death, or disability. It is financed by contributions from workers and employers, and has been in existence since 1966.
All workers must pay contributions to the Régime if they earn more than $3,500. You can request a Statement of Participation, at any time, in writing, by telephone, or over the Internet. The Statement sets out the annual earnings for which you have paid contributions. It includes an estimate of the amount of each benefit to which you may be entitled.
Whether it is for disability benefits, or a surviving spouse’s or orphan’s pension, we know what to do and we can advise and guide you and even accompany you to the Quebec Administrative Tribunal (QAT).
