Indeed, if you are a victim of a road accident and you want to know what is in your file, you can order it via this link. You must specify that you want all the medical records, the letters, the decisions rendered as well as the progress notes.
Why do you need to specify it? Since the SAAQ considers that you have already received and kept these letters, it does not return them to you. The medical file contains the medical reports you have sent, but in addition, the SAAQ will also request a copy of your files from clinics or hospitals. It is therefore always useful to have them in hand.
Finally, the electronic progress notes contain a wealth of information since you will find the history of all the calls made as well as some information that will help you understand the decisions rendered in your file. Keep these documents carefully, because if you want an additional copy, you may be charged an extra fee.
